The Finish Line

This is our last week on the James Summer Challenge and we hope that it has been a time of growth and insight for you as it has been for us.
As we’ve meditated and memorized our way through this letter to believers from James, we’ve been encouraged by the Lord to step it up in our walk with Him.
Trials are  good for us –they can be used to strengthen our faith (like spinach for our bodies)
Wisdom is the key – ask for it
Be DOERS of the Word – not just hearers
Faith without works is dead – (or in today’s vernacular “talk is cheap”)
Treat all people the same – no partiality
You can’t tame your tongue – you have to have a heart transplant & the tongue will follow
Humility with wisdom is the key to all relationships (but you have to ask!)
Hang in there – Jesus is coming back and will set everything straight.
In the meantime, live together in humility, and meet each others’ needs by faith through prayer.
If we even apply one of these truths we are on our way to living out our faith in an increased reality.
Continue to lead us Lord, in living our faith out loud and for real.

Finish memorizing James this week

For those meditating on the verses in Pastor Jeff's sermon:  James 5:7-11
